Welcome to my world of creative living.

From calligraphy and wood-burning, to handmade ceramic pieces and paper crafts, my creative portfolio covers multiple aspects of DIY and handmade, to add a little extra to your life.

With a vision of 'Art vs Cake', each of my cakes are custom, couture pieces, designed and decorated to fit you and your special day, and unique only to you and your other half.

Making the fairytale come true, I work exclusively with brides and grooms to help create a seamless, functional, and most of all, memorable day for your most important of days- your wedding!

Lifestyle design & DIY projects

Being creative is the basis of how I live my life. My days aren't complete without some form of imagination or creativity. Over the years, I have delved into paper crafts, pottery, calligraphy, interior design, and even homemade body products.

This part of what I do is forever changing.

From calligraphy services and paper flowers, to handmade ring dishes and homemade body scrubs, there will always be something to make your life more creative.

I have an ever-growing array of downloadable tutorials for you to learn to make things for yourself as well!

Art vs Cake

Sugar Bee Cakes had its humble beginnings back in 2013. Based on a concept of 'art vs cake', every cake I make is custom, unique to my clients, and always aiming towards pushing boundaries. I worked with hundreds of different clients- from weddings and engagements, birthdays, new babies, and corporate clients alike- to create the defining moments of their special occasions.

As of 2017, re-branded under my own name, I am now focusing solely on weddings, devoting my time, skill, and passion to those heading down the pathway to married life. Getting married is a defining moment in a couple's life- and I love being a part of it.

Every cake is covered in fondant, decorated by hand. No two designs are the same- your cake is unique to you.

Making fairytale days a reality

I've lived weddings and events for years. Since starting my first business in stationery and calligraphy many moons ago, everything I have done has dabbled in these joyous events. And I love them.

So, since having planned my own wedding, and discovering that the reality was very different to the fairytale dream, I knew I wanted to share my knowledge, understanding, and creative insights in the planning and creation of weddings.

As a consultant, I aim to help make your wedding planning what it should be- fun and memorable! I take a no-nonsense approach to preparation, a creative approach to finding solutions, and an always open and friendly approach when working with my clients.

I offer a range of service levels, depending on what you need me for, and as I focus on each couple exclusively, I only take limited numbers per year.

Creating visual business success

Where would business be without social media these days?! It is a crucial element of any business- but most especially for creatives, Instagram is where it's at.

In under two years, I grew my Sugar Bee Cakes Instagram account from 1,000 to over 200,000 followers. I learnt as I went along, but I discovered a number of tricks and insights that helped me grow such a strong and loyal following.

And I want to be able to help you and your creative business too!

Right now, you can purchase and download my recorded webinar detailing my 7-step process to growing your Instagram following. You can understand what I discovered, and apply it to your own creative business. Download it in the Store and get social!

Learn my tips & techniques for perfect cakes

I've always loved creating, and I love sharing my knowledge with you.

I offer private one-on-one classes in my home studio, which are a full day (6 hours).
These classes are tailored to suit your skill level and your decoration desires.

Some of the techniques I teach: covering with fondant, sharp edges, hand painting, sugar flowers, figurine making, stencilling/fondant techniques.

*All private classes are done on dummy cakes, no real cakes involved.

If you (or your studio) are interested in hosting a workshop with me, please get in contact.
